What girls want

I will probably have had afew dozens of rotten eggs thrown at me by the time u finish reading this post. But if I were to blog conservatively I might as well not blog at all. I may be a guy and for this fact alone people can say I don't have the rights to say I know what girls want but who is to say I can't be right either? If u can't work out which side to stand on, then simply read it as 'a guy's views on what girls want'. Everyone is happy this way, so lets start the ball rolling.

As in the entry 'what guys want', I shall start with some golden facts...

Fact no.1 - Girls will always have a soft side
Forget about how fierce, tough or rough she is when she's furious and angry. When she cools off her heart will always melt like mashmellows on a BBQ pit. They probably wouldn't show it but somehow they are feeling rather soft and this is their weak points. After an argument or a quarrel, more than often a sweet line of words is enough to completely melt the mellting heart. Why do u think girls are always forgiving guys then?

Fact no.2 - Security and Sincerity wins the day
The predominant reason why we see all sorts of incompatible couples on the streets. I always say good looks buys u a date but it's usually the amount of sincerity and efforts u put in plus how secure she feels about u that wins you her heart. Perhaps you are as good looking as Brad Pitt but u don't have a future as bright as Cristiano Ronaldo or a bank account as big as Bill Gates, so therefore she probably wouldn't want to be with someone whose future is insecure.

Fact no.3 - Girls are naive
Girls have a tendency to think things are as simple as ABC or that things could work out easily and that everything will be alright. They do the most naive things like believing their flirtatious partner's sweet honeyed words, forgiving him and entrusting him with her heart only to get it all broken into pieces soon after when she caught him perform adultery again. They either get influenced or believe easily - one of the weakest points girls possess. Silly silly silly

Fact no.4 - Girls are cute when they are angry
There is a reason why guys tend to laugh and say: "Honey, u look so cute when ur angry u know" and the girl simply do not get it and say: "What? Are u mad or something?" The truth is that when a girl is pissed off, angry or frustrated, their body behavior and facial expressions are somehow cute to guys. But of course it isn't funny when she picks up a chopper......

Fact no.5 - Shopping is every girl's favourite past-time
What do u do when ur down? Shop! What do u do when u've just received ur salary? Shop! What do when u looked into your ready-to-burst wardrobe and feel like it's too 'empty'? Shop! Shopping probably flows in the blood of girls like how sex flows in those of the guys. There's no limit as to what they can buy and there's no indication of when they will stop. Shopping simply makes a girl's day and the worst scenario is when they see a beautiful piece of clothing and they cannot buy - financially or with other reasons involved.

Fact no.6 - Girls love sex as much as guys do
As much as try to deny it (well they won't admit it anyway), it's a fact that girls love sex as much as guys do. The ones who don't are either nerds who haven't been sexually exposed to the adult fun scene or are simply mental up there. In any case, girls can't reveal their sexual preferences or they will be termed as sluts or whores. Hence they will never admit that they love sex - well almost all of them. And to put it in context, like everyone else, girls love having 'a happy ending' when having sex - orgasm. They hate it when their guy 'comes' too early and they are right to feel that way because such guys are insensitive bastards who only care about themselves.

Fact no.7 - The Knight in Shining Armor Syndrome
It must be the fairytales. It must be the dramas and movies. Either way, girls love to feel or dream of themselves as a lovely wounded princess and havng a handsome prince or knight in shining armor come riding on a white horse, grabbing their frail body and riding them down the sunset. The picture they paint in their mind is as fantasy as fairytales but hey fairytales do happen sometimes! It is right to say all girls at 1 point of their lives dream of their knight in shining armor.

Fact no.8 - Girls are bitchy by nature

Shopping aside, gossiping and bitching just about anything under the sun is probably what girls do best and the topics seem endless. It is incredible just how much and what they can bitch about to each other. It is of no surprise then that, girls whine and moan more than their counterparts.

In the real world as of current, there seem to be a trend going on amongst girls and it isn't very glam to speak of. Girls are getting demanding these days, expectations are soaring to ridiculous heights and attitudes are slowly but surely changing as well. In fact the number of ugly truths about girls can easily surpass the number of good ones about them.

Ugly Truth no.1 - Girls are gold diggers
And the guys get digged! No matter what they say, all girls are materialistic in some way. Tell me which girl doesn't craves luxury and all the comfort and joy they can bring? And these luxury are most of time in the form of Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Coach among others. In a courtship, the amount of money a girl actually spend on a girl is ridiculously high. These days, girls don't hope for but they expect! Where do these expectations stem from? From seeing their friends having boyfriends who drive big cars, shower them with LVs and all sorts of gifts of course. They need to do a reality check on themselves.

Photobucket

Ugly Truth no.2 - The Princess Syndrome
This is a very good example of a female trend. When one of them wants to be the princess all of them want to be the princess so if this were to be the case we would have a couple of thousands of princesses out there but where are the princes? They have probably watched too much of 'Princess Hours'. While it's perfectly fine for girls to think of themselves as princess because girls have to be treated well, it just isn't right to think they are real princesses and expect things to turn out the way they want or behave like some queen out there. It's this kind of princess attitude that sucks real bad.

Ugly Truth no.3 - Girls are flirts
Yes it applies to those who are in a relationship. When a girl meets a guy who ticks almost all the boxes of her 'mr perfect', chances are she would forget for a moment she's got a boyfriend out there or something and flirt with the new guy. Yes it could be just plain flirting, she may not have any intentions to go any further but still, it's flirting! And when they are caught, they claim it's just socializing and being friendly or that their partners are being 'too sensitive' or do not trust them. Yet when their partners does the same (what goes around comes around), they said it's unfaithfulness and that the poor dude is a big time butterfly/flirt.

Ugly Truth no.4 - Seeing no wrongs
As illustrated above, girls can sometimes see no wrong with themselves. No matter what, they are always right. In an argument, they expect to win and when they can't win verbally, they resort to childish means like throwing tantrums or using manipulative means to make the guy feel that he's commited the most terrible sin which in turn turns him soft and start pampering his princess even though she's the one at fault. I herby declare we guys can no longer stand this sentence: "Because I'm a girl!" To which I say: "So what?"

Ugly Truth no.5 - Girls think they know the world
When in fact they don't. They love to think they know, and refuse to heed advices given or worse still, label the guy as an irritating nanny but when things goes horribly wrong and those pieces of advices came back to haunt them, they are sorry for themselves and expect to be comforted. They promise to listen next time and so on but the next time u tell them something, it goes in 1 side and come out the other. Trying to be too clever thinking they know everythinng especially stuffs about the guys can only be their own downfall.

Ugly Truth no.6 - There is nothing a diamond can't buy
"Can I watch soccer with my guy friends?"
"No! U have to accompany me to go shopping!"
"But I have a present for u....*opens up a box*
Photobucket
"Come back as late as u want ok, enjoy more don't want come back also can!"

Ugly Truth no.7 - Girls are jealous creatures
We should start calling them 'greenies' for the fact that they are always whinning, moaning and most of the time it's due to jealousity. They can even claim it was provoked even though at times it's not.

Ugly Truth no.8 - Girls fantasize about other guys during sex
The next time your girl is on the verge of orgasm with her eyes shut, slightly biting her lips and rocking your 'boat', u have every right to suspect she's probably fantaszing herself riding cowgirl on Brad Pitt or Edison Chen. Or worst, she's probably fantazing herself making out with her former beau who gave her the most unforgettable orgasm in her life. It happens, why not?

Ugly Truth no.9 - The time of the month
The time of the month instantly gives her the rights to be queen for at least 6 or 7 days. "I'm having PMS, don't make me mad" can actually be translated into: "I'm the queen now, and u better do what I say and make me feel like a queenie!"

Ugly Truth no.10 - Dollars and fast cars hooks the hottest babes
They will never admit it. But the crude fact is that girls would rather go out with someone ugly but drives a nice car and is quite well do than to date a good looking hunk who takes public transport and maybe isn't strong financially. It's not a fluke, u look around and u see all these rich ugly bastards with the hottest women. There's a reason, and u've just heard it.

In relationships, what girls want is rather simple - security and happiness. People say girls mature faster than guys but that is not necessary true. Girls tend to be as afraid of commitment as guys do. They probably want a boyfriend instead of a husband. Girls tend to prefer enjoying their youth before settling down with the right guy. Even though they tend to expect alot from their guys without realizing it, what can actually please them or touch their heart is simply anything that is sincere that comes from the guy she likes or love. This simply means happiness.

Hooked on Tennis

Recently I'm hooked on Tennis, I've been watching the Australian Open currently going on in Melbourne. While I watch soccer because of my love for the game, the same cannot be said of Tennis because I've never played it before. I just enjoy watching it, simple as that and there are 2 big reasons why. Easy to understand - Babes! There's nothing more exciting than watching babes running their lungs out across the courts hitting balls, screaming when they win a point and cursing or smashing their rackets when they don't. It's like what girls see in those pop idols but I'm definitely nowhere as crazy as those girls. I just enjoy watching, it's so exciting! Haha

These are the reasons why I watch Tennis!

My all time favourite - Maria Sharapova!

And the upcoming Babe Hantuchova!

Please can we have Sharapova VS Ivanovic in the final since both are in the semi finals now? That would be 1 hell of a final! 2 Babes with brains, beauty and body smashing each other on the court!

Knight in Shining Armor Syndrome

They say nearly all females dream of having their own knight in shining armor but the truth is that it's the guys who struggle to resist the urges and temptations of wanting to be the hero and 'save' the girl. I call this the Knight in Shining Armor Syndrome, an actual disorder.

Many times we have seen guys wanting to be what some would term as "Da Nan Ren" in a relationship and would never settle for anything less than that. Guys in general need to feel they are above their girl in a relationship and they all have a Lion's heart in this aspect alone.

Guys who suffer from it have this need to “save” girls who they feel are messed up not realizing that this in fact makes them (the Knights) more messed up. Guys try to save damsels in distress because it makes them feel powerful, in control and manly. Sometimes they are afraid of girls and think they won't be rejected if they fix a woman's problems. They hide their inadequacies behind what looks like strength. They know they don't have their act together, so instead of working on themselves they'd rather work on someone else. Such relationships are doomed to fail because it simply does not work out this way.

Should they open a door, pull out a chair, take a girl's hand when crossing the street or give her their jacket if she's cold? Absolutely. Should they try to save a woman whose life is a mess? They do so at their own peril.

It is also guys' 'thing' of wanting to feel a notch above girls. Some say it's the ego and pride, while others mention the self beliefs. If these guys were really strong, they would not be trying to save someone that appears to be a victim. They don't realize that aside from a few circumstances beyond one's control (acts of God, accidents, disease, etc.) one's position in life is based on who they are on the inside, not someone or something "out there". There is an axiom that says:

There are no victims, only volunteers.

Knights believe that if the woman gets better, she'll become the perfect girlfriend. The only problem is that if she does become healthy, she will not want to be with someone who is so flawed that he tolerated being with a "broken-winged bird". Healthy people do not want to be with unhealthy people. The world is forever a selfish and cold place.

On the other hand, if she doesn't get better, the man will never have the perfect girlfriend because he won't get his needs met. In addition, his fears of an intimate relationship will not be repaired by staying with an inadequate woman. It's a no-win situation.

Maybe one fine day it will be the females who 'rescue' the males but until then, the Knight in Shining Armor Syndrome will continue to exist in every male. It's of little wonder then, that girls often accuse guys of being male chauvinist pigs but they have to realize that it's not like we could help it sometimes. And being girls, it's something more difficult than hunting down Osama Bin Laden.

Sick Pervert!

I was having my much needed sleep after a long day today when I got a call from Bessie at aboout 3.45am in the middle of the night. I could barely open my eyes but I figured out she's probably drunk and making those nonsense calls that happen so frequently when a person's soul is controlled by alcohol. But my phone just wouldn't stop ringing and eventually the words: "Just to inform u this...someone online is using ur identity and your photos to get to know gals and trying to ask them out for sex" shot me up like I was 30 minutes late for work.

Eventually I found out that there is this sick pervert (im not ruling out more) who supposely stays in Tampines and have been stealing my photos and using them to chat hook up girls online, chat them up (dirty stuffs) and then lure them out for sex. Unfortunately for him - justice has long arms - he approached one of my friends. Stupid!

Thankfully enough my friend played along even though she smell something fishy when he said he lived in Tampines and not Jurong. Just how many such people do we have to come across in our lives? Why can't these sick moronic perverts out there get a life instead of ruining their precious lives? If ur horny, porn is only afew clicks away on the net. If u're so sex deprived, Geylang is only a cab ride away.

To think he even showed Bessie his webcam featuring his hairy dick. And of course, he didn't dared to show his face. Does this guy really think my friends are that dumb and naive? Anyway, below is just part of the conversation he had with Bessie. He's smart enough not to use any photos on his friendster/wholivesnearyou/facebook or whatever. He only place my photos up in his msn window. I've got his mobile number and email addess and I'm seriously considering reporting this asshole to the authorities. Don't try it, son of a bitch!

Dear friends, I've only had 1 msn and should u encounter anyone else who tries to hook u up through a simple "Hi u are cute, can we be friends" etc etc, it's definitely not me. I don't use such lines, I don't type big-small words as well and I believe my English is alot better than the one he typed. Please do not be taken in or jump into conclusions. If in doubt, clarify with me. :)

*Remember Bessie is only playing along with him after finding him suspicious. Man this is really a stucked up blue Monday!

It's so limited

Sometimes what we can do is so limited. You can have all the money in the world but u can't buy certain things like love or friendship. You may be a doctor but maybe u can't even save the life of your own kins. You have excellent grades but u struggle to find a good job. Is this part and parcel of life? Would it be better if we live in a world without limits?

I will never know because a world without limits just doesn't and will never exists. Limits instantly brings in the word 'IF' - If I have a million dollars....If I was borned perfect.....all the IFs. I believe this is karma. What we did in our previous lives probably played a part in what kind of limits we get in our current lives. I think I must have committed truckloads of sins in my previous life. I feel so bounded in this life, there seem to be a limit to everything I'm capable of doing. It's not a matter of not trying sometimes. It's a matter of knowing it wouldn't work or happen even if I were to try a zillion times.

Just an example in a sea of examples....The other day I was checking up all the degree courses available and I found out that even if I can afford the fees, I don't have time on my side. I cannot wait 3 - 4 years to finish studying. That brings in 'IF'. If I hadn't been foolish and wasted 2 years in secondary school last time, I wouldn't be in this plight. Can I turn back the clock? No. Does it mean I give up on my dreams here? No. Does it mean even if I try hard I may not succeed? Maybe.

This issue about limits have been bugging me for quite sometime. I guess it's also god's way of ensuring all's fair and equal. U win some, u lose some but I hate losing. Can I not lose? I can't. All I can do is to treat it as taking a step backwards to move forward.

Anyway these days I've been really tired and busy. Haven't had the time to blog, due to having so many things to do. I updated my calendar schedule the other day and couldn't help but take notice of the date Feb 14. Am I going to spend a 3rd consecutive year at home on Vday? Ughhh....

One night in Mongkok....
(Warning! LOTS of pictures, may take time to load!)

....It was raining on an extremely cold and chilly night in December. The unmistakable smell of the famous 'chou toufu' filled the air. We had just came down after showering in the hope of exploring the place on our first night instead of wasting it away in dreamland. The rain got smaller, the locals started dashing across the streets, we joined in, ran from street to street and somehow ended up in the infamous Portland Street. The sight of the triads having their supper at the street cafes and the pimps and whores touting along the dark corners was a sight to behold. It was something new, it was the beginning of a long journey....

I'm back, in fact I was back long ago like afew days before this entry but I haven't had the chance to blog and I had like over 900 pictures to upload. It's impossible to place all 900+ photos on the blog so I've uploaded almost all of them onto my multiply photo album. The link is just below. Sum it up, HK + 1 day in Macau was great, I didn't wanted to come home. The x'Mas period especially had an x'Mas feel about it - something which Singapore lacks. Maybe it's the cold (i mean really cold) weather, maybe it's the way the locals there celebrate x'Mas (it's totally different from SG!) or maybe it's the sight of all those winter clothings, but nevertheless it was way better than Singapore and that's excatly what I was there for!

Hong Kong is a shopping paradise really, but I will say there are more girls stuff than guys and finally I can officially say that despite being winter, there were TONES of summer clothings on sale. Forget about those people who say winter sucks because it's all winter clothings. That sentence has 0% truth in it! I've also learnt how to walk fast and eat fast basically on the streets of HK everyone walks super fast and u just cannot stop suddenly when walking. Sometimes I felt I was living in the middle of Orchard Road on Christmas day or eve! This was my most memorable x'Mas ever and the entire trip was a big success!

A little diary of my trip, with the rest of the photos in my multiply album. Click the link below to view them.

Day 1
We spent the day shopping at the local markets like Fa Yuen Street, Ladies Street, and Temple Street Night Market after checking in. Also passed by the famous Goldfish market and went to Argyle Centre, a far east style mall selling basically all girls clothings and stuffs and the mall was so packed and hot we felt like we were in an oven! The sports street at Fa Yuen rocks, lots of bargain sportswear, bags, shoes, everything! A pair of Adidas sneakers which can't be found in SG costs only $80! Cheap! The street markets are always packed and crowded and finding a place to eat there was terrible! At our first meal, I followed the local way of standing behind people who are eating, stare at them when they eat, make them eat faster and buzz off so I can take the table. Yes that's how things work there, rude in SG but normal in HK! Don't even think of having a nice big table, we had to squeeze and share with others. Nice experience and the best part of it was all the menu were in chinese words which I can't read for nuts which means I had no idea what was available. I simply pointed to what others were eating! At night, we left Liyin to sleep in the room herself while Dino & I went down to walk around and ended up at Portland Street. We decided to sample one of their famous 'free preview' and headed upstairs into 1 of the many motels (or whatever u call it). 1 by 1 or in groups, the girls walk in while we sat on the bed, smoking and shaking our heads. We spent about 20 minutes shaking our heads much to the disappointment of the person who had hope we'd each take a girl. We had no intention of doing it anyway, just wanna have a look and laugh afterwards. We did, it was so funny and we headed back to rest early for what was going to be a busy x'Mas eve the next day.

Day 2
Took the MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui, followed by the star ferry across the habour to Central. The morning ride was great, there was no crowd, the weather was very chilly and breezy and the view of Hong Kong Island across the habour was clear and nice. Then we went shopping at Li Yuen Street East & West but not before grabbing some nice egg tarts and puffs along the way! Went to H&M too, the store rocks. Its to HK what Topshop is to SG and I bought some stuffs inside there. Had lunch at one of the many nice and great restaurants cum bar at SOHO. Food was great but the place was even better! How I wish SG had such a place. It's basically like a slope up a hill but along the way it's all filled with restaurants, pubs, bars and so on. Very good to chill off at night! We explored the entire SOHO and took the Tram too before heading back to Mongkok to shop around at the tallest shopping centre in HK - Langham Place. The mall was really talll and big with a variety of stuffs on sale. After that we headed back to prepare for the night. Went to Lam Kwai Fong for the countdown to x'Mas and guess what? There wasn't any countdown! Instead the locals had their own ways of celebrating x'Mas by dancing and doing all kinds of funny things on the streets. It was jam packed, every club was full house and the entire place was rocking. We went to chill off at 1 of the pubs after the 'countdown' before heading back to sleep! The atmosphere was something I won't find in SG and I won't forget it either.

Day 3
Went to Wong Tai Sin temple in the morning. It was a bad choice to dress up as all the incense smoke and ashes means I smelt like a temple dude afterwards. Terrible! We went to hang around at Habour City. The armani there was having great sales but I couldn't find my size for the jeans! Habour City is like Vivo city anyway so we get a view of the habour. It was x'Mas and along the Pier there were huge crowds snapping photos, singing songs and the whole place was basically rocking. We went back early to refresh and most importantly, change our clothes before heading to The Avenue of Stars to watch the Symphony of Lights at night. The whole place was crowded and it was so cold that I had to borrow Dino's sweater despite wearing 3 layers of clothings! The Symphony of Lights rocks, beautiful lights but unfortunately my camera sucks at taking pictures of bright lights at night! We then took the star ferry to Wanchai to have dinner before walking down to causeway bay to sample the atmosphere. Simple and nice x'Mas!

Day 4
Woke up early and headed to Lantau Island. The place was quite warm unlike HK or Kowloon and packed with tourists. There, I took the most thrilling bus ride of my life to Po Lin Monastery where the Big Buddha lies. The whole place is like a hill and the roads were bumpy and extremely narrow and yet the driver drove like the bus is some Ferrari car! I felt like throwing up my breakfast throughout the 25mins journey! Lantau Island has some of the most natural and beautiful views of mountains, hills and rivers that I've ever seen. I guess alot of movies were shot here on the mountains. We climbed afew mountains as well thanks to Dino's enthusiasm and because of that, we had no time for Disneyland which turned out to be a blessing in disguie as the place was said to be small and very expensive. Hence we went to Tai O village in Lantau Island instead. There, we took the speed boat out to sea to watch dolphins and had a sample of the simple village life. The village's main source of income is the sea which means they specialise in Seafood. So we couldn't resist trying one of the seafood restaurants there which turned out to be good in terms of the food especially the crab.

Rest of the days
Yes I'm getting lazy, well I will just summarize it up. The rest of the highlights include Ocean Park where I took the most scary ride aka 'The Abyss' which is almost 40 storeys high and plunges u down like nobody business not once but twice! I'm brave unlike Dino who took zero rides!! I wonder if he paid $40+ to watch the pandas & animals!

Then of course we went to the Victoria Peak where the view at night was amazing and it could have been alot better if not for the weather being kinda foggy! Damn it and boy the place was the coldest in the entire HK! I regret not wearing more cool and everyone was just shivering down there! The dinner at the restaurant on the peak was fantastic mainly because it gives us a perfect view of the peak!

Macau was all about casino and shoppings. The stuffs there are about the same prices as HK but the variety is alot better. The egg tarts were heavenly, I've never eaten such nice egg tarts in my life! But the downside is the fucking ferry terminal in Macau in which we took 2 fucking hours to get through customs! The whole place was a disaster waiting to happen - no proper lane markings, no proper security and everyone doesnt know where to queue but push and push I felt like suffocating! Of course we visited the Casino save for Liyin who choose to sleep in the room. Sometimes I felt like I'm in Las Vegas with all those bright lights and people all over the streets. Visited afew Casinos but I like Sands the best as it's more leisure kind and there were people performing on the stages. I'm a cheapo, I drink alot of free beer, wine and other drinks whilst at the Casinos. Dino brought me to watch an adult show there as well and I swear I will never watch one anymore in my life. It was so fucking lame, stupid and pathetic! Yes pathetic is the word! I felt the entire thing was so boring I felt the couple giggling in 1 corner was more interesting than what was going on at the stage. After every show, the girls will go around collecting tips from every single person! I felt like it was some scram or something. I don't understand why we paid $80 SGD each to watch such a fucking stupid show! Anyway the person said the show had ended after just 4 shows and I feel so mad like we were conned of our money!
