I'm getting SICK and TIRED of people confounding metrosexual as gay, ah gua and even homosexual. There're even friends coming up to me saying things like: "u ah gua mah...", "why u so gay one...", "this bag very ah gua leh so girly...".
So what defines metrosexual? The fundementals are basically a young urban male with feminine traits but DEFINITELY STRAIGHT! Feminine traits are explained with the tendency to dress up stylishly, and is up to speed with anything trendy and sophisticated.
Its not hard to identify a metrosexual, they're usually the guys who love shopping, wouldn't mind a facial and seems to spot different shoes everytime you see them. I admit i wasn't metrosexual by birth but rather by choice and influence but nevertheless i'm proud to be one.
Stuffs a metrosexual possesses....you've yet to seen my wardrobe and the number of bags i have, not to mention shoes and perfume!

Hair-styling products are mostly cheap stuffs but i do use girl brands such as LUCIDOL.
I may use whitening cream and SK II, but I'm dead straight and 100% a guy deep inside. Its just that I'm very image conscious and vain. You can insist its ah gua for the fuck i care but well to say the least i know how to love and pamper myself. I just love the finer things in life, be it food or hygiene. And YES I love women, u can be dead sure about this, i've never once and will never twice think of having a guy as a partner!
I see some of the ladies complaining too. Hard creatures to please are they? You complain that u take nearly 20 tries to wheedle your guy into going shopping with u and now u're complaining about a guy who's asking u to go shopping! You complain to your guy about his unshaved beard and body odor and now u're saying he's too vain shaving everyday and changing all kinds of perfumes. You complain that your guy has got horrible dressing sense and now u're asking what the hell is he dressed likethat, so vain for what!?
I know for sure there will be girls who prefer retrosexual guys who are simple and extremely manly. But i've a sneaky feeling the majority, especially the younger generation prefer metrosexual as they can satisfy females' needs more. I once read a newspaper interview regarding Jolin Tsai and there was one question asking which kind of guy he'd consider for a bf and the answer was simply awesome - metrosexual. Not saying i stand a chance, that's laughable but stating that as a great example. Hey edison chen's metrosexual as well alright?! ha!
